Why do the earthquakes happen? Here is the simple answer!

Posted on Oct 20, 2024 / Nature

The cause for the earthquakes that occur on our planet is the persisting motion of lithospheric plates under the continents.

The lithospheric plates that combine our planet's surface are constantly moving and colliding. The earthquakes are the result of such collisions.

There are seven lithospheric plates. The closer you are to the border between the plates, the higher the risk of an earthquake in your area. The countries that suffer the most from the earthquakes are Japan, Turkey, India, Nepal, Armenia and Mexico.
