Remembering Jeff Beck (1944—2023)

Jeff Beck was a trend setting and style forming British rock guitarist; he passed away on January 12, 2023.

He was born in Wallington, Surrey, England in 1944. Beck began his career in the 1960s as a member of the Yardbirds, a band that also featured guitarists Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page. He left the group in 1965 to pursue a solo career.

Beck released several albums over the years, and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Tina Turner, Roger Waters, and Stevie Wonder.

He was known for his virtuosic playing style, which combines elements of rock, blues, and jazz. Beck is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, as a member of The Yardbirds and as a solo artist.
