The Schengen area consists of 26 European countries that effectively eliminated border control between them.
If you enter one of these countries you do not need any administrative procedures to cross borders within the Schengen area.
So here is the full list of Schengen area members as of 2020.

- Slovenia
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria are expected to join the Schengen area sometime in the future. The Vatican, San Marino and Monaco are the dwarf states that keep the borders open, so they can be thought of as Schengen area members.
