Israeli air forces performed a massive attack on Irani military infrastructure. At 6 a.m. on October 26, the IDF announced the end of the attack on military targets in Iran as part of the IAF's Operation Days of Repentance.
The official statement said that the targets were military bases in several areas of Iran. The IDF emphasizes: "All of our aircraft returned safely to their bases."
"The attack was carried out by decision of the political leadership in response to the Iranian regime's attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens in recent months. The counterattack has been completed and its objectives have been achieved," the IDF said.
The targets attacked were named as ballistic and cruise missile factories, surface-to-air missile systems, and other air defense systems.
IDF Spokesman Daniel Hagari said: "We carried out targeted and precise attacks on military targets in Iran and prevented immediate threats to the State of Israel. The IDF's mission is complete. If the Iranian regime makes a mistake and starts a new round of escalation, we will be obliged to respond. Our message is clear: Anyone who threatens the State of Israel and seeks to drag the region into a wider escalation will pay a heavy price. Today, we proved that we are capable of acting decisively and are ready, offensively and defensively, to defend the State of Israel and the citizens of Israel."
