This is in honor of Kamala and Biden. The US presidential candidate responded to the "garbage scandal".
US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump entered the cabin of a garbage truck during a visit to Green Bay, Wisconsin, on October 30 to talk to reporters, the Associated Press reports.
Trump appeared in an orange vest with yellow stripes, worn over a white shirt. After missing the handle on the truck's door twice, Trump climbed into the passenger seat, from where he talked to reporters for several minutes. The truck had a Trump campaign sticker on the back, and a US flag and a Trump flag were attached to the doors.
"How do you like my garbage truck? This is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden," Trump told reporters.
As The Hill notes, the Republican climbed into a garbage truck to draw attention to the comments of US President Joe Biden. In recent days, Trump has been criticized for the statements of comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who spoke at the Republican candidate's rally in Madison Square Garden in New York on October 27. During his speech, the comedian called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage." Joe Biden, commenting on his words, said on October 29: "The only garbage I see there is his supporters." Commenting on this, Trump said that "Biden should be ashamed".
The White House said that the president's words were misinterpreted; he called the offensive rhetoric at Trump's rally in New York "garbage," not his supporters. Biden himself also said that he was only referring to hate speech about Puerto Rico and noted that “the demonization of Latinos is shameless.”
During a conversation with reporters in Green Bay, Donald Trump tried to distance himself from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. “I don’t know anything about that comedian. I don’t know who he is. I’ve never met him. I heard what he said, but that’s his statement. He’s a comedian, what can I say. I don’t know anything about him,” Trump said. The Republican added from a garbage truck: “I love Puerto Rico, and Puerto Rico loves me.”
At the end of his conversation with reporters, Trump said: “I hope you enjoyed the garbage truck. Thank you very much.” Some time later, he appeared at a campaign rally in the same orange vest.
